نَشَأَ كُلِّ واحِدٍ مِنَّا مَع جَدَّةٍ أَو عَمَّةٍ أَو خالَةٍ أَو أَمٍ لا يَمُرُّ حَدَث أَو مُناسَبَةٍ، أَو تُتاحُ لَها الفُرصَةُ إِلا وتُطْلِقُ اَلتَعبيراتُ الّتي تُسَمَّى أَمثالاً. يُكَرِّمُ هَذا الكِتابُ مَجموعَةً مُختارَةً مِن آلافِ الأَمثالِ المَوجودَةِ في مَوروثاتِنا الشَّعبِيَّةِ، بِهَدَفِ تَعريفِ الأَطفالِ عَلَى جُزءٍ جَميلٍ مِن ثَقافَتِنا العَرَبِيَّةِ، والحِفاظُ عَلَيها لِلأَجيالِ القادِمَةِ.
جَميعُ الأَمثالِ الوَارِدَةِ في هَذا الكِتابِ هِيَ مَزيجٌ مُتَناغِمٍ مِن العالَمِ العَرَبِيِّ، سَنَجِدُ أَمثالاً مِن فِلَسطين وأُخرى مِنَ الأُردُنِّ وغَيرِها مِن لُبنَان وسوريا ومِصر، جَميعُهَا مَكتوبَةٌ بِاللَّهجَةِ المَحكِيَّةِ حَتى لا تَفقِدَ سِحرَها ومُرونَتِها وجَمالِ مَعانيها، ومَشروحَةٌ بِالفُصحَى المُبَسَّطَةِ حَتى يَتَرَسَّخَ المَعنَى المَقصودِ مِنها لَدَى الطِّفلِ، ومُساعَدَتَهُ عَلَى فَهمِها وفي أَيِّ المَواقِفِ يُمكِنُ استِخدامُها
